Tohatsu was founded in 1922 by the engineer
Masuzo Takata and manufactured his
first gasoline engine. Tohatsu offers
an excellent range of two-stroke and
four-stroke outboards engines, including
60 hp, 40 hp, 30 hp, 25 hp, 20 hp, 15 hp
and 9.9 hp outboard motors. Tohatsu created
the first electronics injection outboard
that revolutionized environmental performance
and this new innovation enabled Tohatsu
to introduce a new electronic fuel injection
(EFI) for its range of four-stroke engines.
